Robert Half is looking to complete the growing team of a well respected and influential company with an Tax Clerk position. You will be expected to successfully match invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assist in the process of Tax, tax schedules and more.. The Tax Clerk position is a permanent opportunity and is situated in the Malibu, California, area. The opening is HYBRID (2 days in office, 3 days work from home). Must have 1 years tax experience working at a CPA firm or in house in a tax department. Key responsibilities- Supports in house Tax Department- Heavy Calendar follow up- Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports- Help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other general accounting projects- Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and helping with collection of past due balances- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned- Reconcile discrepancies, and prepare correction documents as needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts- Classify documents with the proper expenditure codes and accounting codes
